Centra

Centra is a virtual classroom environment that enables a student to attend class "live" from the comfort of his/her home or workplace. It is accessed using a web browser and enables the student to see and hear the instructor as well as respond to the instructor’s questions with audio chat. All classes using Centra are automatically recorded. Playbacks are available for viewing at the instructor's discretion.

Go to http://elearning.uncc.edu/centra and review the sections under Student Guides. Be sure to turn your computer sound ON.

**Your Centra username is the same as your UNC Charlotte username, and your initial Centra password is centra (all lowercase).**

Courses utilizing Centra require each student to have a headset with microphone. Centra courses are accessed at centraone.uncc.edu, but may not be accessible before the first day of the semester.
