Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology: Electrical
Program Information
The University of North Carolina at Charlotte’s Distance Education program in Electrical Engineering Technology is specifically designed to provide graduates of two-year associate degree programs the opportunity to continue their education at the baccalaureate level on a part-time basis via the Internet.
Graduates of Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology (BSET) programs quickly find employment in business and industrial positions as integral parts of the technical community. Engineering technologists often provide the interface between engineering and production operations in modern industry. They are employed in fields such as product evaluation and testing, power switchgear installation and calibration, and microcomputer data acquisition and control systems. Activities may include product development, production design, operation and maintenance, or applications and sales.
Students who should consider this on-line program are: 1) individuals with time and place constraints; 2) students who begin the ELET Program on-campus, full time and then subsequently discover they cannot continue in that format. Students, who successfully complete this part-time program as scheduled, can receive their BSET degree in four years.
